Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans that prioritize the safety and wellbeing of children.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies to facilitate effective service delivery.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children's social work, specifically in safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to child safeguarding.
