The Children’s ASW - CIC Team in Coventry is seeking a qualified social worker to join our dynamic team. In this rewarding role, you will work with children in care and their families, providing support, guidance, and intervention to promote their well-being and development.

As a Children’s ASW, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans that meet the individual needs of children and families.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and their families, including crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to reflect on practice and share learning.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, CSS, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly with children in care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
