We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Luton in the Looked After Children (LAC) service. As a Luton - QSW - LAC, you will play a crucial role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people in the area.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertaking assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children in care, as well as their families
  • Attending court hearings and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children
  • Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Proven experience working within a LAC service or similar setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
