We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Luton, offering a competitive rate of £38 per hour (umbrella). This role is ideal for a passionate professional committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. You will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
As a Qualified Social Worker in the LAC Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of looked after children and developing appropriate care plans. Conducting regular reviews and updates of care plans to ensure the best outcomes for children. Working collaboratively with other professionals, including educators, health services, and family support workers. Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive parents. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working within a looked after children team or similar environment. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.
