Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - R&A Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring they receive the support and protection they need to thrive. You will work collaboratively with families, other professionals, and external agencies to assess needs and develop effective intervention plans.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and reviews.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance professional development.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Work England (or equivalent).
  • Experience in children’s social work, particularly in assessment and intervention.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
