The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Safeguarding Team. This pivotal role is designed for individuals who are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults within our community. You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including service users, families, and multi-agency partners, to promote effective safeguarding practices and improve outcomes for those in need.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of adult safeguarding concerns and developing appropriate intervention plans. Working in partnership with other agencies to coordinate support and safeguarding measures. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local and national policies. Participating in safeguarding meetings and contributing to strategy discussions. Providing support and guidance to less experienced team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in adult safeguarding and a strong understanding of relevant legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
