We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Fostering team in Gloucestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in need. As a Social Worker specializing in fostering, you will be responsible for assessing, supporting, and supervising foster carers, ensuring that children are placed in safe and nurturing environments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of prospective foster carers and ensuring they meet the necessary standards. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, including regular visits and consultations. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's needs. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your professional skills.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in fostering or child protection settings is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
