Join our dedicated team as a Children's Social Worker (SSW) within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Southwark. This pivotal role is designed for passionate professionals who are committed to safeguarding children and supporting families in our vibrant community. As a member of the MASH team, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to assess and respond to the needs of children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and investigations into safeguarding concerns. Collaborating with partner agencies to develop effective intervention strategies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing advice and support to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.To excel in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working in children's social services, particularly in safeguarding and assessment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
