As a Kinship Fostering Supervising Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and home visits to evaluate the suitability of kinship placements.
  • Providing ongoing support, guidance, and supervision to kinship carers.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for court and panel presentations.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in fostering, child protection, or family support.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with families and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work independently.
