Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the lives of children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they receive the support and services necessary for optimal development and well-being. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with families, schools, and external agencies to provide tailored support and interventions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
  • Developing and implementing individualized support plans in collaboration with families and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Providing ongoing support, guidance, and advocacy for children and their families, ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of interventions and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
  • Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and manage a caseload.
