We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team on an Umbrella basis at an attractive rate of £39.04 per hour. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families facing challenges due to disabilities. As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality social work services that promote the well-being and development of children and young people.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop appropriate support plans. Providing expert advice and support to families, ensuring access to necessary resources and services. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and other social workers, to coordinate care and interventions. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and maintaining detailed case records. Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England (SWE) or equivalent regulatory body. Significant experience in social work, specifically within the children and families sector. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement effective care plans.
