Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality social work services. Your expertise will help us ensure that children with disabilities receive the support they need to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and their families. Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to facilitate effective service delivery. Providing emotional support and guidance to families navigating complex challenges related to disability. Monitoring and reviewing care plans to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of interventions. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Additional requirements include a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Join our dedicated team as a Social Worker in the Children with Disabilities Team within the Qualified Social Work field. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need to thrive. You will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, schools, and external agencies to provide holistic care and support to children with disabilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and their families. Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with families and professionals. Providing ongoing support and advocacy for children with disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard. Facilitating access to services and resources, including educational support and therapy. The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent). Current registration with the relevant social work regulatory body. Proven experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and manage a diverse caseload.
