Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? We are seeking a dedicated Children's Social Worker (SSW) for our Assessment Team in Redcar. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive environment, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. As a Children's SSW in the Assessment Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of child protection plans. Providing guidance and support to families, ensuring their voices are heard throughout the process.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and safeguarding. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in children's social care.
