Join our dedicated Fostering Team in Barking & Dagenham as a Qualified Social Worker, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in foster care. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing and supporting foster families, as well as working collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to create positive outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of foster carers to ensure suitability and capability. Developing and implementing care plans that meet the individual needs of children. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, including regular visits and training. Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to promote best practices in fostering. Maintaining accurate and timely records in line with statutory requirements.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly within a fostering or adoption setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
