We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work (CYPT) Team in Barnsley. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community. You will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and agencies to provide high-quality support and interventions, ensuring that the needs of children are at the forefront of all decisions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other stakeholders.
  • Managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely interventions and support.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and safeguarding processes to promote the welfare of children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legislation and policies.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, including safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Proficient in assessment and analytical skills, with a sound understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
