We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Locality Team in Barnsley. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals and families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of service users and their families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students, fostering their professional development. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in compliance with local and national policies. Engaging with service users and their families to empower them in decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Current registration with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in children and families’ social work. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
