Join our dedicated team in Barnsley as a Senior Social Worker within the Locality Team, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families in our community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and mentor junior staff while managing a diverse caseload. You will collaborate closely with various agencies to ensure the best outcomes for service users, working within a framework that promotes safeguarding and well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with service users and their families. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and social work students. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in compliance with local authority policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategic planning.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (degree or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualifying experience in social work, particularly within a locality team. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Locality Team in Barnsley. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who is committed to making a positive impact in the community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals and families.
