Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people? Join our Children’s Social Work - Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Luton, where you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable children who are in care. We are seeking a qualified social worker who can provide high-quality assessments, interventions, and support to ensure the best outcomes for our Looked After Children.
As a member of our LAC Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Working closely with foster carers, residential staff, and other agencies to promote the welfare and development of children in care. Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence as required.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly within a looked after children context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
