To be considered, it is essential that you have a recognised Social Work qualification (Social Work Degree or Diploma in Social Work) and full Social Work England registration as well as recent or significant relevant experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Graduate or equivalent professional qualification e.g. criminal justice, social care, probation.
- At least 2 years practice experience of working with vulnerable children and young people, preferably within a youth justice setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of the youth justice system, and the complex issues that affect children and young people within the youth justice system.
- Recent experience of managing a caseload of children and young people- undertaking assessments of risk and need, developing plans, and delivering interventions that effect positive change and manage risk.
- Knowledge and experience of managing out of court disposals and statutory court orders.
- Excellent skills in the preparation and delivery of verbal and written reports, preferably with experience of working in Court.
