As a Children's Social Worker within our Locality Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing child protection plans and care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's services and a solid understanding of child protection legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
