Cheshire West and Chester is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Independent Reviewing Officer to join our dynamic team within the Qualified Social Work field. In this vital role, you will ensure that the voices of children and young people are heard and their needs are met through effective reviews and assessments. Your commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children will help us achieve the best outcomes for those in our care.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting independent reviews of care plans for children and young people. Facilitating meetings and engaging with children, families, and professionals to gather insights and feedback. Ensuring that all reviews are conducted in compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines. Writing comprehensive reports that reflect the views of children and contribute to their care planning process. Monitoring the implementation of recommendations made during reviews and advocating for children’s rights.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work and knowledge of relevant legislation. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
