Caritas Recruitment is working with Oxfordshire County Council to recruit an experienced EHCP Casework Officer to join their SEND Service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEND professional to manage a dedicated caseload of children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring statutory responsibilities are delivered effectively and within required timescales.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
Managing a caseload of children and young people with EHCPsLeading Annual Reviews, Phase Transfers, and complex caseworkActing as the named contact for families, schools, and professionalsMonitoring EHCP provision and outcomesCoordinating support across education, health, and social care servicesPreparing reports and presenting cases at panels, mediation, and SEND TribunalsEnsuring statutory processes are completed within timescalesMaintaining accurate records and high-quality EHCP documentationSupporting children, young people, and families throughout the EHCP journeyRequirements
To be considered, you should have:
Previous EHCP, SEND Casework, Tribunal, or SEND Resolution experienceStrong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory processesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsExperience managing complex caseloads and competing prioritiesAbility to work independently and proactivelyStrong report writing and record-keeping skillsA resilient and professional approach in a fast-paced environmentWhat's on Offer?
