The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our dynamic Court Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure the best outcomes for children involved in court proceedings, delivering high-quality assessments and interventions tailored to their needs.
Key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Preparing court reports and presenting evidence in court as required. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard in the decision-making process.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly within court settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
