In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and professionals to ensure that children with disabilities receive the support and services they need to thrive.

As a Children's Social Worker in the CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that promote the well-being and development of children.
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and support.
  • Providing guidance and support to families to help them navigate available resources and services.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and case records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in the context of disabilities.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop tailored support plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
