Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children & Families/Locality Team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Working closely with multi-agency partners to deliver integrated services.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legislative requirements.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
