We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Fostering Social Worker to join our dynamic team in North Yorkshire. This position offers an attractive rate of £37.79 per hour (Umbrella) and provides an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community. As a Fostering Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in the recruitment, assessment, and support of foster carers, ensuring that children in care receive the best possible outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of prospective foster carers.
  • Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Preparing reports and documentation for court and fostering panels.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in fostering or child protection services.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
