Join our dedicated Assessment Team in Southwark as a Children’s Social Worker (SSW) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. In this vital role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in your care. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to provide support and guidance, ensuring that children’s needs are prioritized and met effectively.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and relevant stakeholders. Maintaining accurate and timely case records, reports, and documentation in compliance with local authority standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences. Providing expert advice and support to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognised social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in assessment and intervention. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage complex cases effectively.
