As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and developing comprehensive care plans for children in care.
  • Providing support and guidance to social work staff, facilitating their professional development.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with children, families, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
  • Representing the team in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of children in care and making necessary adjustments to care plans.

To be considered for this position, you must possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience in children's social work, particularly in a looked-after children setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
