We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Practitioner AMHP / BIA (Adults) to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified social worker to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults with mental health needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health legislation and a commitment to promoting the well-being and rights of individuals.

As a Specialist Practitioner AMHP / BIA, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments under the Mental Health Act and providing recommendations for care and treatment. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Providing expert guidance and support to social work colleagues and other professionals. Advocating for the rights of service users and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.

The successful candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). AMHP and BIA registration with the appropriate professional body. Significant experience in adult social work, particularly in mental health settings. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
