The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Safeguarding and Children in Need (CIN) Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community. As a key member of our team, you will engage with families, conduct assessments, and develop tailored support plans to meet the diverse needs of children and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies. Attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings to ensure coordinated support for children. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard in the decision-making process.To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within a children’s safeguarding or CIN setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with a sound understanding of safeguarding legislation and practice.
