In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading safeguarding assessments, developing and implementing protection plans, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. You will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to promote the welfare and safety of adults at risk, providing expert guidance and support to social work practitioners.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting complex safeguarding investigations and assessments. Supervising and mentoring junior social workers and students. Developing and delivering training sessions on safeguarding best practices. Maintaining accurate and timely records in line with local and national policies. Engaging with service users and their families to ensure their voices are heard in safeguarding processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent) and hold a valid Social Work England registration. You should have substantial experience in adult safeguarding and a solid understanding of legislation and frameworks governing adult protection. Key skills required include:

Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Leadership and team management experience. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
