The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Assessment and Planning (AP) – Family Support and Child Protection (FSCP) Team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will undertake assessments, develop care plans, and work collaboratively with families to implement support strategies that promote positive outcomes for children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and maintaining high standards of practice.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.
  • Providing advice and support to families, empowering them to make informed decisions.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and family support work.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
