Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers, ensuring they have the tools needed to nurture and protect children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within a children’s social work setting, particularly with children in care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
