Children's Advanced Practitioner - Safeguarding Team - Bury

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Advanced Practitioner to join our Safeguarding Team in Bury. This pivotal role requires a passionate individual committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people. You will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services, leading on complex cases, and supporting the development of best practices within the team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of complex safeguarding cases, ensuring timely and effective intervention.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to social workers, promoting professional development and best practice.
  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and partner agencies.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategic planning for safeguarding initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies, while promoting a child-centered approach.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and frameworks related to child protection and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
