Children's SSW - Family Help Team - Birmingham
Join our dedicated Family Help Team in Birmingham as a Children’s Social Support Worker (SSW). We are seeking compassionate and driven individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to families in need, ensuring the welfare and safety of children while promoting their well-being and development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing tailored support plans for families.
- Working collaboratively with families to empower them and enhance their parenting skills.
- Building strong relationships with children and families, fostering trust and open communication.
- Monitoring and reviewing progress, making necessary adjustments to support plans.
- Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant qualification in Social Work (Degree or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures.
