Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of prospective foster carers and ensuring they meet the necessary standards. Providing ongoing supervision and support to foster families, addressing any issues that arise and facilitating training opportunities. Working closely with children in care to understand their needs and experiences, advocating for their best interests. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care planning. Contributing to the development and implementation of fostering policies and procedures.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in fostering or child protection settings, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
