We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment team in Bury, offering a competitive rate of £40 per hour (umbrella). This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families within our community. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of social work practices and a commitment to delivering high-quality support and intervention.

As a member of the Duty and Assessment team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of individuals and families in need of social services.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Providing crisis intervention and support to clients during challenging situations.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, particularly within a Duty and Assessment context.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to client care.
