Join our dedicated Support and Protection Team on the beautiful Isle of Wight as a Children's Social Worker (SSW). In this rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Your work will involve assessing and addressing the needs of vulnerable children and their families, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive in a safe environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure coordinated support for children. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.To excel in this role, you will need to possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
