Warwickshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team. As a Children's Social Worker in the Duty & Assessment Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting initial assessments and statutory assessments to identify risks and needs.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing support and guidance to children and their families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources.
  • Working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with local and national standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly within a statutory setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
