We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's AP - Duty Team in Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. You will play a crucial role in providing timely and effective support to vulnerable children, ensuring their safety and well-being while working collaboratively with families and other professionals.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Responding to referrals and providing initial support to families in crisis.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of services.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in children's social work, particularly in a duty or assessment setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
