We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Wigan - AP - Duty Team. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, assessing the needs of vulnerable individuals, and implementing appropriate interventions to ensure their safety and well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting initial assessments and ongoing reviews to determine the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with service users and other professionals.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
