We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Social Work - Learning Disabilities Team in Leicestershire. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with individuals who have learning disabilities, their families, and other professionals to promote independence and enhance the quality of life for our service users. You will play a vital role in assessing needs, developing care plans, and ensuring that individuals receive the support they require to thrive within their communities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of individuals with learning disabilities. Developing, implementing, and reviewing personalized support plans in collaboration with service users and their families. Advocating for individuals’ rights and ensuring access to appropriate services and resources. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and community organizations, to deliver holistic support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with local policies and national legislation.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with service users.
