Are you an experienced social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities? Gateshead Council is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join our Children with Disabilities Team. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their needs are met while promoting their well-being and development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing complex cases, ensuring effective assessments and interventions are conducted. Providing expert guidance and support to social work staff, promoting best practices within the team. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Conducting training and development sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements and council policies.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Substantial post-qualification experience in children's services, particularly with children with disabilities. Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
