We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment and Intervention Team in Gateshead. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing intervention plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals. You will work collaboratively with a range of professionals and agencies to provide high-quality support and services to those in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to address identified issues. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access resources and services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions. Supervising and mentoring junior staff and students, promoting best practices in social work.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and family support. Strong assessment and intervention skills with a focus on safeguarding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
