Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with children, families, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families to facilitate positive outcomes for children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in a looked-after children context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
