Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people? Join our dynamic LAC (Looked After Children) Team in Suffolk as a Children’s Social Worker (SSW) and help us provide the highest standard of care and support for our most vulnerable youth. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure the well-being and development of children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with children, families, and relevant stakeholders. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families to facilitate positive outcomes for children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a looked-after children context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
