We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Adult Safeguarding Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Shropshire. This pivotal role requires a passionate individual who is committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of vulnerable adults. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including local authorities, health services, and community organizations, to ensure the highest standards of care and protection for adults at risk.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing safeguarding plans for individuals in need. Leading investigations into safeguarding concerns and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Providing expert guidance and support to social work staff, ensuring best practices are followed in safeguarding cases. Facilitating multi-agency meetings and promoting effective communication between all parties involved. Monitoring and reviewing safeguarding plans to ensure they meet the evolving needs of individuals.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in adult safeguarding and social work practice. Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and adult protection policies. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.Additional requirements include a commitment to continuous professional development and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
