Join our dedicated team as a Qualified Social Worker in the Knowsley Children’s Services, focusing on Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN). We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate professional committed to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children and their families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, agencies, and other professionals, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families in need of support. Managing a caseload of CP and CIN cases, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and best practice guidelines. Building effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies to facilitate positive outcomes. Participating in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings, providing expert testimony as required. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with local policies and procedures.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England (SWE). Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
