Fostering Supervising Social Worker | Wakefield
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Fostering Supervising Social Worker to join our team in Wakefield. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting foster carers, providing regular supervision and training to enhance their skills.
- Conducting assessments of prospective foster carers and maintaining comprehensive records of their progress.
- Working collaboratively with local authorities, schools, and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Managing a caseload of foster families, conducting regular visits and reviews to monitor the well-being of children in care.
- Providing advice, support, and crisis intervention to foster carers and children as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in fostering, child protection, or related social work fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to effectively manage a caseload.
