Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of kinship care applicants, including home visits and interviews.
- Preparing detailed reports that inform decision-making processes regarding children's placements.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship carers and their families.
- Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are in place.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in child protection, family support, or kinship care assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
