Join the dedicated team at Sutton Council as a Social Worker specializing in Children with Disabilities. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure the well-being and development of children with disabilities. Your expertise will help create tailored support plans, advocate for children's rights, and facilitate access to necessary resources and services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and relevant stakeholders. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they are empowered to make informed decisions. Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of care plans and making necessary adjustments. Collaborating with educational institutions, health services, and community organizations to create a holistic support network.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective care plans.
